Surly makes serious steel bikes for people who don't take themselves too seriously. The Pugsley sure lives up to that.
The Pugsley is designed as an extreme off-road expedition bike. Tons of accessory mounts, 4.0 fat tires, long wheelbase, 4130 chromoly frame. Avid mechanical disc brakes and micro shifters make this a bike that won't let you down, even if it's -30C.
135mm-space offset fork allows wheel swapability when the shit really hits the fan (and it will someday, trust me)
