The Pivot Mach 5.5 is a perfect blend of aggressive stability and snappy trail handling. With an efficient 140mm DW link rear suspension the bike climbs like a mountain goat, and paired with the heavy hitting 160mm fox 36 fork up front the bike is at home charging down chunky enduro descents as well. The 27.5 wheel platform is ideal for precise cornering and tight trail handling that accelerates with pop, but with clearance to run 2.6" rubber keeps the bike feeling planted and stable through challenging terrain as well. The frame geometry is designed for a playful riding style that remains nimble. Reach is generous at 460mm, but not so long that it turns the bike into a bobsled trying to get through switchbacks. The head angle is at that magic 66.5 degree mark allowing solid front wheel tracking for technical climbs and also confident DH stability.
Pivot has been a pioneer in carbon frame technology for years, and they are known for building bombproof frames that are ultra light weight... The Mach 5.5 highlights that expertise and is built to handle whatever you can throw at it.

The build is rounded out with smart spec of components including a reliable 150mm Fox Transfer dropper post, XT rear mech, and precise SLX brakes. Nice tire selection means the bike is ready to rip without need for upgrades.

The Mach 5.5 is a swiss-army-knife type bike with a nod toward the more aggressive trail rider. You'll be equally at home on long days of exploring single track in the backcountry, or burning down Strava segments at the local race lines. For a one bike quiver it really doesn't get much better!
