2017 ROCKSHOX Pike RC 27.5 160mm Boost Debonair 42 offset

Everything you'd ever want to know about this fork's history (more questions? photos? just ask!):

- One owner, purchased new on a 2017 Devinci Spartan.
- This fork was used, but not abused. I serviced the lowers religiously and as you can see in the pics, there is no dry bushing related wear on the stanchions. Last lowers service was a month or two ago and hasn't been ridden much since. The action is smooth.
- The air spring was upgraded to the Debonair spring about a year ago and was serviced with fresh Slickoleum at the same time as the lowers. This is the original Debonair upgrade, not the C1 upgrade.
- There are a few scratches on the stanchions, very small ones but they are there alright. See pics. They've been there a while and have caused no issues, no premature seal wear, no leaking oil, etc.
- The lowers are heavily scratched. This is a mtb fork, after all, and I used it. They actually look worse in the pictures and when the fork is mounted on the bike, it looks pretty darn good. But you'll have to take my word on that one, of course.
- Crown race installed/included, pretty universal shape that I've used on 2 different headsets with no issues. That said, always best to use the crown race included with your headset/bike.
- This fork does NOT creak. Not that I've ever experienced and I'm pretty OCD about bike noise. I weigh 145lbs all geared up and I'm light on the bike, so that definitely helps.
- Comes with 1 volume spacer installed, which after endless tinkering I have found to be the magic number. But by all means, experiment for yourself ; )
- 42mm offset

ALL POTENTIAL NEGATIVES:

- The screw for the brake line holder has stripped threads. It's been that way for two years, it's a tiny, soft screw so if you get a replacement, be VERY gentle. That said, it works perfectly in terms of holding the brake line where it needs to be. Has never popped off.
- The damper has never been fully serviced, and I'd say it's about time. The compression and rebound dials work perfectly, but it's overdue for a damper service. I'd say the action of the fork is slightly less smooth than when new, and I attribute it to this. The fork still shreds, truly it works great, but it would be wise to service (or replace the damper with the upgraded Charger 2 or 2.1, which is what I'd do).
- No axle included, sorry!
- The steerer tube was cut by the shop and they did a poor job, the star nut was partially cut through (1 of the 6 wings is missing, pretty sure I have an extra if you want it, just let me know), the cut is uneven by 1-2mm, and the steerer is cut to 7 1/8" at the shortest point. That said, I've made a million headset adjustments for a variety of reasons and the starnut works perfectly. Just wish it looked cleaner and haven't cut again b/c it's already on the short side.
- No stickers. Those things got nasty a long time ago. I like the stealth look fwiw.

Summary: All in all, this is a perfectly functioning fork that could use a damper service. I ride challenging terrain and it's up for it. If it was me buying it, I'd throw in a new damper upgrade and wouldn't bother with the C1 air spring. Most people prefer the feel of this original Debonair. If you want some feedback on settings I used and that type of stuff, I love to nerd out and am happy to share my thoughts.
