2014 Kona Downside

Kona Dowside custom dirt jump bike

I’ve had this bike for one year since completing its build and have ridden it approximately 3 times.

I bought the frame new from Kona Europe and built it up from there. Spec is;

Rockshox Argyle 409 W/ 20mm through axle. These forks are getting very rare now and it took me some time to find these.

Cult BMX cranks, chainring and halflink bmx chain.

NS trail master rims, 32 hole laced to an NS front hub and a Profile BMX free coaster rear hub allowing you to ride backwards without pedal rotation.

Easton Havoc 35mm handlebars, 30mm rise paired with a Raceface stem.

Sram level rear brake.

ODI grips.

Schwalbe Billy Bonkers gumwall tyres, brand new.

That’s about all there is to it. Bike had a brand new BB and headset when it was built so it’s tight and quiet.

Ready to tackle your local pumptrack or skate park.

This is a great bike which just hasn’t been used. Hence the reason for sale. Bad points are fork axle needs replaced. Previous owner of the forks has snapped the head off the axle, however it works without it. You just tighten up using a pair of mole grips. Not ideal but works fine.
