2021 Meta AM 29

2021 Medium Slate Grey Meta AM 29. This bike is brand new and has never been ridden other than on paved streets in my neighborhood for an afternoon. Selling because I broke my leg in a non-bike related accident and am unable to ride for the foreseeable future. This bike has a some major upgrades that were handpicked after a lot of research and trying other bikes. They are all brand new (no swaps from previous bike) and listed below:


Fork: 2022 Fox 38 Factory Grip 2 180 mm (plenty of room to adjust stem height as I was conservative with cutting the steerer tube)(can buy a 170 mm airshaft for about $70 if you feel as though 180 mm is too much)
Shock: 2022 Marzocchi Bomber CR 230x65 mm w/ 450 lb fox shock --> increased rear travel by ~ 5 mm to 165 mm. Reached out to Commencal and they said the extra fork and shock travel would not void the warranty. This also slightly steepened the Head Tube angle to compensate for the extra 10 mm travel in the front.
Brakes: 2022 Formula Cura 4
Dropper post: Fox transfer performance elite 150 mm dropper (not yet installed) - $150 extra
Headset: Cane Creek Angleset (not yet installed) - $100 extra
Water bottle holder: Specialized Carbon Holder - $50 extra

If you want the original Rockshox Deluxe Select Air Shock instead of the Marzocchi Bomber I will drop the price by $150. Or if you want to experiment with the coil and air shock without dropping a bunch of extra money and finding a 230x62.5 mm shock you can buy mine for an extra $100. I'd probably recommend just getting a progressive coil from MRP or Cane Creek if you don't like the feeling of the coil though as the frame is designed with a pretty linear suspension curve. Will also consider swapping the fork for the original Yari RC for $600 less than listed price.

Will not respond to lowball offers, I am not in a huge rush to sell and there are no other medium Metas on PB that I've seen, and I know this bike is in high demand. New ones from Commencal are out until October and that's without delays (look at the Meta forum for the nightmarish delays in shipping), so you can buy this and ride all summer or wait until you get one at the beginning of winter and can't ride it for 6 months. This is also likely going to be the only Meta you will find that hasn't been used and still has warranty that can be applied to you without ordering directly from Commencal. Pedals not included, buyer pays shipping and Paypal fees, but will take Venmo if you are a local.
