Colnago SLX Spiral Conic 55cm With 600 Tri-Colour

Beautiful 1988 Colnago SLX Spiral Conic. The seattube c-c is 55 cm, and the toptube c-c is 55cm. Good size for 5'9" to 6'0", or 175 cm to 183 cm. The Spiral Conic is made with Columbus SLX butted tubing - strong yet light steel. Colnago custom extruded the downtube to be slightly wider at the base than at the top - which was revolutionary at the time and was copied by everyone. This results in a bike that is fast, quick, tight, light; it climbs with ease and is confident on the downhills and at speed. This bike is made for racing, or bombing around town. Would make a great Eroica bicycle as well.

The frame is in excellent shape with no dents, gouges, bends, creases or other issues. Only very minor touch ups to the beautiful Retinato (pre Decor) paintwork. The Chrome fork, lugs, and chainstay are gleaming and in beautiful condition.

This build features a full Shimano 600 Tri-Color groupset - the legendary gruppo that won every championship in the nineties. The components are:
