Santa Cruz Hightower C Mk1 29er Carbon Frame.
Size large for 29er wheels, or 650b +, boost axle spacing.
A great frame - I purchased this at the end of 2019 and used for around a year before making the switch to a newer model at the end of last year - it got me hooked! I believe this to be a 2016 model.
Has been invisi-framed from new, but this has started to look a little tatty now in places - let’s be honest, after 5 years it probably would. Has done it's job though and protected most of the frame, but there are a few chips and scuffs in places, but nothing which are detrimental to the frame - aesthetically it’s not perfect, but with a little love it could be. There are no cracks or nasty bits though, so a very sound and solid frame.
The Santacruz decals on the downtube are aftermarket versions as I felt the originals didn’t fit with my colour theme and clashed too much with the forks I was using - these are simple stickers though that have been adhered over the top of the invisiframe so can be removed easily leaving the original coloured versions intact - the original colour is orange.
The pívot bearings are sadly starting to feel a little gritty now, which is evident when the shock is removed - this does spoil things a tad - so could do with being replaced at some stage soon - as I wasn't the original first owner of the frame I can't benefit from any bearing warranty, but they aren't too expensive to buy and this has been reflected in the sale price.
The shock is the original Rock Shox Monarch RT3 which came with the frame when I bought it - however I haven't personally used it, so is in very good condition and functions as it should. Basically I am a Fox fan, so this is the main reason why it wasn't used and was swapped out for an X2 unit whilst i was using it.
The original Santacruz seatclamp and QR through axle are included, as are the aftermarket Unite orange pívot bolts but nothing else - the new owner would need to acquire an internal headset and a threaded bottom bracket to be able to build it up for use. The frame benefits from internal cable routing for gears and the dropper post and are very easy to install, however I have left these in place for the next owner.
Genuine reason for sale.
