DSD Runt for sale. For 2021 or 2022 Fox 36 in 170 or 180 travel. Does not work in any other fork. Selling because I no longer have a Fox 36 on my bike.
Used for a few months. Fully cleaned, serviced and re-greased for sale. In excellent condition. Comes with shims should you wish to send you fork to be re-tuned for even better performance with the Runt.
Will come with the stock red valve caps (ones in picture are from a CaneCreek shock b/c I liked the black look).
The Runt allows for a much more linear suspension curve to achieve a more coil-like feel. From my experience after using the Runt for two years in two different forks (RockShox Lyrik and Fox 36), I found a few things:
- I was able to run 15-20 psi lower than my usual pressure, which greatly improved small-bump sensitivity and made finding traction SO easy compared to my usual setup.
- The mid-stroke support was phenomenal b/c the Runt takes up as much space as the max number of volume spacers the fork can take, so the fork never felt like it was divey even with the lower pressure.
- The bottom-out support was impressively smooth b/c the Runt compresses along with the main air chamber as you enter the bottom third of the travel.
- The feel if incredibly tune-able by changing the pressure in the Runt by just a few psi here and there. It made my stock forks feel like they'd been professionally tuned every time I made minor adjustments.
- One of my favorite aspects is that instead of changing your volume spacers by having to open up the fork, all you have to do is attach a shock pump and change the pressure in the Runt ever so slightly
