It's time to sell my Canyon Strive RC. I bought this about 4 years ago and shortly afterwards I had an ankle injury. As a result I bought an eBike to get me going again. As you'd expect the eBike now takes up much of my riding. This means this Canyon has not seen much use. It's been sitting pretty much un-ridden for 2 years (stored in my Utility room) and I'm now reluctantly selling it.

If you're looking at this listing you'll know that this is one hell of a bike. It’s a full Enduro rig with 160mm of travel up front and 140mm of travel in the rear. There isn't anywhere you can't take this bike and it only gets better one you take in account the Canyon Shapeshifter technology.

The Shapeshifter allows you to adjust the geometry and rear travel of the bike with the flick of a switch whilst riding. This has the effect of turning it from a downhill enduro rig into a cross country whippet for better climbing. The head angle is raised and the rear suspension drops to 120mm for amazing climbing ability. Really important note about the Shapeshifter - I had this upgraded to the newer, much better Shapeshifter in 2019. I had the part imported from Canyon and fitted (£250). It really is amazing. If you feel you don't want the Shapeshifter - a Mode-fixer from Bike Yoke is also included (this cost £70) and allows you to remove the SS and lock the suspension in X-country or Downhill mode.

It's also fitted with the RCT3 version of the Rockshox pike fork. This means it has 3 settings to choose from. Open (full 160mm travel), Mid (140mm of travel, ideal for X-country) and closed (stiffens it up for climbing). Suspension has two tokens installed for more progressive suspension. This can be removed or added to in a few minutes to really dial in your ride.

Condition:

The bike is in excellent condition. It's been slick-wrapped since new so fully protected. I'll leave the slick-wrap on and leave it up to you to remove if needed. If you can see any marks in the photo most of them will be to the slick-wrap. Inspection is welcomed. You will see the normal signs of usage on handlebars, cranks, pedals etc. You will not be disappointed.

For this sale I've had it stripped down and serviced by Two Wheels Bike Service Manchester (find their Facebook for reviews). Bearings re-grease, suspension topped up, new cables, new cable housing where required, brakes bled, new brake pads. The full works (cost a small fortune). I also had the bottom bracket replaced with colour matching NukeProof BB. It's brand new, never been ridden.

I've also replaced the rear tire with a new Maxxis High Roller II - this has seen minimal wear.

I will call out that the dropper post is very sticky, due to it being un-used. It will need a service or replacing with something cheap like a Brand-X dropper.
