I’m selling my 2013 Santa Cruz Tallboy - size XL, original owner, with upgrades and one issue, that I think I fixed.
**problem summary** The rear brake mount magically developed a rubbing issue against the rotor. I will explain down below, I think I mostly fixed it, but here are the specs first.
It is best suited for beginner or intermediate riders 6’1”+, it is an XC bike. It is in good condition with much normal wear and scratches (no dents, dings or any serious damage though).

**problem in detail** A few years ago, I noticed the rear rotor rubbing on the caliper IS mount, rotor adapter and bolt washer. I could not determine why this started happening. I’ve repacked the hub before, but I have triple checked there are no missing washers or clips against the Mavic manual and ensured it is put back together properly in order. I borrowed a same size wheel and it did not rub.
I gave up trying at the time, as the brake still worked fine and thought it would eventually grind down the section of non-braking surface area on the rotor and adapters (it did grind it down, but it didn’t stop rubbing). The mount and rotor look bad, but all parts are easily replaceable (I believe the Shimano SM-MA-R160P/S is the IS Mount you’d want to replace for 160mm rotors - the wear is not on the frame, but the removable mount) and it doesn’t affect your stopping power or ability. I spent hours on this in preparation to sell it recently, disassembling and checking bolts or anything bent, and it’s nearly gone, but you can hear it slightly making contact still. The wear is still there, of course, but at this point, it’s mostly cosmetic only.
