I have some unique offset-adjustable and reach adjustable crowns up for sale.

These are unique in that they have have flip-chips which can offer a -8mm or +6mm offset depending on their orientation, they also offer 3 (+8mm, 0mm, -8mm) reach positions for your stem, and they have a 22mm upper drop crown which will fit very tall headtubes. I ran these on my XXL Nicolai G1 with a Chris King headset (which are known for high stack).

I have 2 steerer tubes and 2 pairs of flip-chips available meaning I can make 2 complete sets of crowns. However, I have some additional crown options: Boxxer w/ drop crown, F40 w/ drop crown x2, F40 w/ flat crown x2.

The Boxxer option is fixed but the F40s could be configured F40 flat x2, F40 drop x2, F40 1 drop - 1 flat, or sell an F40 set with both flat and drop crowns to the owner can swap as needed. It's nice to have options.

One steerer tube is 177mm long and has a star nut installed. The other steerer tube is uncut at 206mm and has no star nut. I used a set of F40 w/ drop crown for about 6 months. All other crowns are brand new.

Boxxer fitment: 2018 and older
Fox 40 fitment: 2020 and older

$250 usd +fees/shipping per complete set (1 steerer tube, 2 flip chips, and 2 crowns).
$550 for everything (2 steerers, 4 flip chips, 8 crowns)

Here is a little more background info on these crowns....

Before owning my Nicolai G1 I had an XL Pole Evolink 158 and ran a 2020 Fox 40 29 on it. I ditched the stock crowns in favor for some MORC adjustable crowns. These were great but unfortunately they didn't have the drop to accommodate the tall headtube of the XXL G1 when I swapped frames. When searching the internet I came across these "Outside MTB" crowns on Vital MTB and Pinkbike.

Curiously I reached out to Aaron who created these. He was done producing and selling these crowns but did have some old stock of the steerer tubes and crowns but none of the flip-chips. However he did have the CAD files for the chips which he would include for me to use.

I bought everything off of him and went to a local machine shop I worked with before to help me build a custom air spring for my F40. Guy at GPM Engineering (San Marcos, California) built me the flip-chip inserts. It wasn't cheap due to only having 4 pieces made but since I only had 2 steerer tubes it made sense to have 4 chips made to create 2 complete crown assemblies.

Guy was very happy with the outcome of his CNC work, as was I. Fitment and function are excellent. The crowns are rock solid with no creaking or any unwanted characteristics, they work as they should.

Ironically, after all this work I have ended up back on a higher offset drop crown. I am 203cm 120kg and at my size and the steep terrain I ride, I prefer to have the higher fork offset since it puts the wheel further in front and lengthens my wheelbase. Being more "inside" the bike as opposed to "on top" is a more important to me than the steering characteristics of a lower offset fork.

Help me find these a good home, they are too good to sit on my shelf, they need to be ridden and enjoyed.
