Think skids are just for kids, they are NOT!
Take this first generation Santa Cruz Chameleon for instance; it is a single speed mountain bike with a coaster brake! Yeah! No discs, no V, no Cantis, no worries! Just a good 'ol fun coaster brake.
This alloy frame was made in the USA and has passed into its next form ... it's probably not its final form as this frame has many uses.
Leave as this super fun city cruiser that can slash the occasional dirt trail.
Add some gears and brakes after your kid skids through four sets of tires.
Ultimate Dad bike ... maybe. Perfect Mom bike ... why not?
Throw a normal 26" MTB wheel on it with a SS gear for pump track sessions!
I get why they call it a Chameleon... ok!

New DMR tires that are good on gravel and pavement!
Genius!
Wide and tall Surly Klunker bar for leverage and comfort and cool factor!
Brand new half link chain for strength and BMX tip of the chapeau.
