2011 S-Works Epic

It really is a bummer for me to have to sell this bike, I love it a lot. It is extremely fast and, despite its age, it is extremely capable and very fun.

At around 10 kg (22lbs) this bike climbs very well, and its full suspension really helps it take downhills without problems. The frame, cranks, bars, fork crown and seatpost are all carbon. The rims I cracked so they unfortunately aluminum. The tires are Maxxis and I went a little more beefy on them just for my comfort. They still are fast (Forkaster 29x2.35 front and Ardent 29x2.25 rear) but if you wanted even more speed you could convert back to XC race tires. This bike features a modern SRAM XX1 drivetrain (10-50 tooth cassette) and a 34 tooth chainring, and new Shimano XT brakes.

The suspension is all made custom for this bike and really makes a huge difference. The suspension feels rigid climbing and open descending, thanks to the Brain. I have had no problems with brain and Specialized has a lot of helpful resources for setup.

Specialized was really ahead when they designed this bike. It competes well with modern XC race bikes. The highposting is actually fun. You'll love endurance rides or quick sprints or anything in between. This bike is ready to be raced and it preforms very well.

I have raced this bike for one season but unfortunately can't race much anymore. But I take very good care of it, from washing to mechanical checks and the bike is in sound condition. There is some cosmetic damage (see pictures) but it has no functional damage. I checked the bike meticulously, looking for any cracks, dents or any issues, and everything is very sound. This bike has been through a lot of riding but it is read for many many more miles.
