2017 Salsa Pony Rustler Size Large - Custom 27.5+ Build

Up for sale is a used 2017 Salsa Pony Rustler. This bike is a size Large (20") and has a lot of aftermarket upgrades that help to make it a very versatile and fun bike to ride. The frame is in overall good shape, but the bike has been ridden, so there are some chips and scratches that naturally coming along with riding a mountain bike. Also, the currently installed 11-speed cassette has skipped a few times in the climbing gear, I am not positive if it needs to be replaced or adjusted--I can install a new 11 speed cassette or convert the bike to a 12 speed at the buyers expense, let me know if you're interested in going that route.

Now onto the good stuff. First off, the frame was warranty replaced in 2018, so the frame is newer than the model year suggests. This bike has a set of wide 650b industry 9 carbon wheels with industry 9 hubs - these wheels are top of the line and add more than just a cool sound to the bike. The bike currently has a 2.8 Specialized Butcher up front and a 2.8 Schwalbe Magic Mary in the rear- both of which have life left in them. Suspension includes a Fox 34e Factory fork up front with those sleek kashima stanchions, and a Rockshox 3 position debonair Monarch shox in the rear. The dropper post is a Fox Performance Elite Transfer post. The bike has a carbon pivot handlebar. The drivetrain utilizes a shimano XT crankset with SRAM X01 shifter, derailleur and a SRAM cassette (unsure if cassette is gx or x01). Stopping power is delivered by SRAM Guide RS brakes.

One cool thing about this 650b+ bike is that you can slap a set of 29" wheels in the frame with no adjustments and it will work perfectly. The 650B+ feel is super fun and gives the bike a lot of traction and stopping power and the tires can be run with super low pressures, eating up all kinds of trail chatter.

Overall this build is killer for the price. Compared to other similar bikes on PB, I think this one is the best deal. Feel free to hit me up with any questions. Thanks for looking!
