2004 Recumbent HP Velotechnik

The Grasshopper is an aluminum-framed, dual 20″ wheeled, short wheel based recumbent bike that features front and rear suspension and a Euro-style molded seat. Here is a review on it:

I used it to commute to my office in downtown Nanaimo for a couple of years. Then life moved on and I stored it in a shed. After about 2 or 3 years I got on it and peddled hard and the somewhat rusty chain snapped. It now awaits someone with and adventurist spirit and a basic knowledge of working on bikes.

I bought a new chain which I still have. I replaced the plastic tubular chain guides once.

I really enjoyed it. And started to think that putting an electric motor in its rear would have been a great addition.
I have all the literature that came with it.
It comes with a pair of ARKEL Panniers which go on the rear rack,
This is not the collapsible version of the Grasshopper
I am hoping someone interested in the world of recumbent bikes might spot it for sale, and take it on.
