These were the later version of the epic Roach knee/shin pads. The back is mesh, the patella pad is floating, and the logos are a rubber patch. Love these and they work great, unfortunately they are just too big. Durable ballistic nylon shell, with hard plastic padding, on top of foam padding with a Lycra lining. Comfortable enough to wear all day, and flexible enough to pedal up the hill too.
Bought on a whim when I left mine at home (but somehow I missed the fact that they are an XL and I, am not) I think they have been worn 3-4 times total.
