2003 Aprilia RS 125 Tuono Full Power 2 Stroke

For sale, 2003 Aprilia RS 125 Tuono 2 stroke. I've owned this motorcycle for several years and have painstakingly rebuilt it from a bike which was in need of some drastic TLC, to what you see here today. When I acquired it a few years back it had obviously had a few owners with limited funds, knowledge and care. With it having been poorly painted over and over 5-6 times, handlebars bent, levers broken, parts missing and In need of some overdue TLC. I wanted to try and bring it back to its former glory and asthetically as close to standard as I could. I have spent lots of money and countless hours rebuilding it. I am now beginning my next project and hope to move the Tuono on to someone who will give it a good home and will enjoy it. I decided to rebuild the top end as I knew nothing of its history and I wanted it to be right. It has a Giannelli pipe fitted, other than that it is pretty much standard asthetically. I've fitted the modified CDI unit, and the Rave power valve to make it a full power bike. The list of replacement parts is vast.

It's had new cylinder, piston, small end, top end gasket kit, choke cable, choke rubber boot, wheel bearings front and back, transmission oil caps, transmission oil sight glass, transmission oil, starter motor, throttle adjuster nut, choke adjuster nut, battery, tyres front and back, valves, Renthal handlebars, Renthal bar ends, Domino grips, clutch lever, brake lever, front brake switch, rear brake pressure switch, front indicators, bobbins, right riders peg spring, peg pin e clip, spark plug, rear disc bolts, carburettor jets, chain, exhaust rubber mount, fuel overflow pipe, fuel pipe, chain roller, front master cylinder bracket, oil pump cable boot, crash bungs, front and rear brake pads, mirrors, countless bolts and fixings.
I have also fitted these good condition secondhand / used replacements - radiator, rear hugger, front brake, front seat, Speedo, tachometer, LCD centre display, power valve control unit, solenoid, housing, blade and rubber boot, front wiring loom.

The wheels have been shot blasted and painted Suburu WRX gold and laquered. The bike was stripped back to frame. Engine rebuilt, the sub frame has been repainted black, bodywork has been pain stakingly stripped and painted in both Aprilia Rosso red and Aprilia Nero black where applicable, exhaust has been stripped, painted graphite with exhaust heat resistant paint and lacquer. The brake calipers have been serviced, cleaned and painted gold. The CDI has been modified and the Rave power valve unit and power valve have been fitted, Side stand has had a block welded to the bottom to rectify the known problem with them being notoriously too short (causing bikes to topple over) and also painted black. A few subtle stickers have been added too. V5 present and in my name. Lots of original parts included (some may be scrap, some not) including original speedo with approx 25,500kms (approximately 16,000 miles) recorded. I have left the rear left pillion peg and right hand pillion hanger and peg off as I feel it's a solo bike and it spoils it's lines (however I will include). I am really happy with how it's turned out but please bare in mind it is a 20 year old bike and does have a few marks/battle scars from past ventures etc. Just put fresh MOT on it and has no advisories. The Aprilia RS125 Tuono was introduced in 1999 as a semi naked version of the RS125. Production ran until 2005 and was subsequently dropped from the line-up. The Tuono was essentially an RS125 with the middle and lower portions of the fairings absent and a handlebar fitted on the top yoke.
