Look 585 Optimum - Large (55cm) - Road Endurance Race

Very good overall condition; fully serviced (complete frame-off pro tune at Landis Cyclery - cleaned, serviced, new cables, tape, etc.).

The 585 is a legendary bicycle, and the Optimum is the slightly more relaxed endurance geometry variant. These are lightweight frames, both sporty and comfortable. They offer easy to service cable routing, threaded bottom brackets, and classic lugged carbon. There are very good reasons that these have such a devoted following.

This bike has been built with a variety of components that would serve well as an affordable entry into high end race or distance riding. It hasn’t been ridden since the full tune-up, so it’s ready to go and setup perfectly.

This would also be a fantastic bike to grow into, as it will easily transform into a world class bike with componentry upgrades (and it deserves them).

This frame was taken from a very high gloss to a more subtle satin finish by the prior owner. It was very well done, and I like the effect.

The bike as shown weighs a bit under 17lbs. Look 585s can be turned into 15lb machines without much effort.

A Look size Large is roughly equivalent to a modern 55/56cm, which some manufacturers would call a Medium or Medium-Large.

It’s a great fit for me at 5’10” with a 32” bike inseam (approx. 30” pant inseam).
