2017 Soma Double Cross Disc 66cm + Custom Frame Bag

Steel CX/gravel frame in a very large size. At 66cm it's the biggest off-the-shelf, non-custom frame I'm aware of, larger even than other Soma frames listed as 66cm. Obviously, only for tall riders 6'5" and up. I'm 6'10" with a 37" inseam and fit comfortably.

This frame has many thousands of mixed terrain miles, and it shows. No damage or defects with the frame itself, but cosmetically imperfect from being ridden how it's meant to. The light blue Sky Silver paint still looks gorgeous (similar to Lamborghini Azzuro Thetys). Bottom bracket cable guide and downtube housing stops are included. Tire clearance is huge; Pirelli 45mm tires fit fine.

Included with the sale is a Dyneema custom-made full-frame bag from Fog City Gear (now Outer Shell). The bag has two main pockets and a slim side pocket. Given the frame size it can hold a lot. Condition is excellent, I did a few commutes with it but never any long rides or touring.

Also available is a turquoise blue Chris King headset that matches fantastically. Like the frame, minor cosmetic wear but mechanically sound. Added for $100.

If you are eligible for this frame, consider adding the Zinn 195mm crankarms I used. These were a game-changer from the 180mm cranks I ran prior. Felt like they unlocked more of my leg strength while increasing pedaling comfort. CNC machined alloy and very stiff. No issues with frame clearance or pedal strike. Sram 5-bolt pattern. Added to this sale for $100.

I can also include a Tange Prestige carbon fork, which is missing clearcoat due to tire rub, and has cracks where the carbon legs meet the alloy dropouts. This is no extra cost, but advise getting a new fork.

Tall cyclists know how difficult it is to get a right-fitting frame, and this is one. This Soma DCD is ready for many more adventures under a XXL or XXXL rider.
