2020 Juliana Maverick CC X01- Cascade Link, RS Ultimate

Up for grabs is my wife's 2020 Juliana Maverick (Hightower), CC X01 build. We bought this bike from the original owner who had ridden it a handful of times, mostly sitting in the garage until 2022 when we bought it.

It's a super solid build and is in great shape. There aren't any major gouges/scratches on the carbon frame, wheels or cranks. The stanchions are super clean, no scratches. It was ridden a few times a month, and was always kept clean and garaged. It was never ridden in any bike parks or shuttle days as my wife has a downhill bike for that purpose. The frame, BB and headset bearings have been replaced every season, including mid-last season. The rear shock and fork have been serviced per their intervals for the life of the bike, and had a complete re-build mid-last season. Brake pads are at 75% and I'll give the brakes a fresh bleed for the sale.

The major changes made were bumping up the fork travel to 160mm with the 2023 RS air spring, and adding the Cascade Link to increase progressivity and mid-stroke support, also increasing rear travel to 145mm. The longer front travel and link really change the way the Maverick/ Hightower rides, making it even more poppier, supportive and suitable for picking down steep downhills. The build is also very light at 31 lbs all-in, which means it has absolutely no problem going on long alpine missions. Adding the Cascade Link also eliminates needing to grease the stock link as all Santa Cruz owners know. The original link will also be included. We also added a OneUp bash/chain guide combo.

Both tires were replaced at the end of the last season, DHRII rear, DD, Assegai front EXO+ with Cushcore XC up front and Cushcore Trail in the rear. We also replaced the dropper mid last season, for a 170mm PNW Loam 2 with PNW lever. Derailleur cable and housing were replaced in the same go, along with the dropper housing and cable. At that time a new chain was also installed - XX Sram Black.

Overall, there is a ton of enjoyment left in this bike, and a long-stroked Maverick/ Hightower is a really great bike to both learn and progress on. It's slack enough to ride rowdy downhills, but also up-right enough to not be a slug on the climbs and mellower trails.
