2021 Salsa Horsethief Carbon XT
Offering up my very good used condition medium Horsethief as I’ve moved on to a different bike.
This is a great everyday trail bike. Climbs and descends well, and has lots of extras for extended rides or Bikepacking.
This is the standard carbon front triangle with aluminum seatstays. It has full Shimano XT 1x12 drivetrain (shifter, rear derailleur, crankset, cassette, and brakes). It has a Fox Performance 34 fork and Fox Float DPS Elite shock. I’ve upgraded the wheels to Industry 9 (I9) Enduro S 29er wheels with Hydra hubs wrapped in 29x2.6 Teravail Honcho light and supple tires. I’ve added a WTB Silverado Titanium saddle and a Wolf Tooth oval chainring.
The frame has a few minor scratches, but is in great condition overall. I’m happy to take close up shots of whatever you want to see. Bike has been ridden by a 50- year old whose mantra is to always have at least one wheel on the ground.
Offering at a huge discount from new and with a hugely upgraded wheelset at $2600. I can ship via bikeflights, cost to be shared.
