2008 Surly Cross Check

Own a Surly Classic!...

- single speed, no problem
- light touring, no problem
- bike packing, no problem
- urban/commuter, no problem...

I have owned this bike for 3 years, and in all configurations mentioned... a bit of a sleeper as the paint is not great (could use new decals?), but its straight, no dents or accidents and is currently running great as an urban cruiser, at the moment

Upgrades:
Vintage Shimano XT FC-M730 cranks w/double chainring w/o front derailleur - new Shimano BB last year - square taper 113 spacing
Vintage Shimano STX derailleur and new 7 speed cassette
New headset
New Shimano Deore V-Brakes and levers
WTB Volt saddle
Blackburn Bootlegger front rack
New wheels w/Kenda tires - nothing great, but smooth and true (Shimano rear hub, blank front)
Power Grips pedals

Selling as its a wee bit small for me at 6'4", so unfortunately its time to move it along

Such a great ride, Steel is indeed Real!...
