The bike of all bikes...

2010 Santa Cruz Blur LT Carbon

This one is too big for me, but I'm keeping my size medium. I love it. I race up the hills w/ my XC buddies. I ride lift-access trails with my gravity buddies. Not kidding. Took a 7 foot drop today on my size medium blur ltc.

It rails the corners!

It soaks up the hits!

It attacks the terrain in both diretions.

No bike is better balanced--a true engineering masterpiece. How did they do it? Virtual Pivot Point (VPP) is the most manipulatable design on the market. Santa Cruz carefully designed it to give us everything we want from every part of the stroke: efficient small-bump sensitivity at the beginning; plush mid-stroke, without the hyper-active "wallowing" feel in the mid-travel like the Ibis Mojo; and tasteful ramping up in the end-stroke to avoid bottoming out. A near miracle! My favorite line from all the reviews I read was something like: "the blur avoids cliches about climbing like a hardtail and descending like a DH bike and simply feels like the right bike at all times."

Worried about the strength of carbon fiber? Santa Cruz says that this frame is even stronger than their aluminum V-10 downhill bikes

AND, I've priced this on a no-reserve auction to be cheaper than you've ever seen a blur ltc go for

Great component spec:
Frame: 2010 Santa Cruz Blur LT Carbon
Shock: Rockshox Monarch 3.3
Fork: RockShox Revelation Race 150 w/ maxel and tapered steer tube (super rigid, like the frame)
Brakes: Avid Elixir CR Carbons!
Shifters: Sram X.0
Bar: Sunline
Post: Easton EA 50
Rear Derailleur: Sram X.9
Front Derailleur: Direct-mount XT
Rims: Mavic 321
Hubs: Shimano XT
Cranks: Shimano SLX (tough but light)

Frame and components do show light signs of use. Pictures tell the story. Overall the frame just sings.

In my opinion, this is the only peer of the Ibis Mojo. That is also a truly spectacular legend of a bike bike with an illustrious legacy. But it always received criticism for being flexy. So Santa Cruz built a bike that was about 1/2 a pound heavier, but that just rails the downhill. Better cornering and suspension.

You could wait all winter long and not find a deal like this!
