I have a 2007 Fox 40 in extremely good condition. It was purchased summer of 08, ridden that summer and in 2009.
The whole bike was hardly ridden in 2010, so only two seasons of south Ontario riding has this fork seen.
I always take amazing care of my bikes and you'll see it with this fork. On the legs there are almost ZERO scratches/scuffs. Absolutely no damage whatsoever to the fork...and just some light LIGHT scuffs on the lower right leg.
Oil was changed regularly and the damper serviced every season by a fox technician.
The fork has not been ridden since spring when it was serviced. Really, it hasn't.
I'll be taking the fork off the bike as soon as I have a buyer since obviously the bike is easier to store with the fork on it haha but the pics show the fork anyways or come on by and see it!
