The 823 rims are built by Mavic to take exceptional abuse.
In fact their website says that the 823s are “the only true UST rim available for downhillers and freeriders. Ridden by the most talented and aggressive of them, they have proven to be strong enough to withstand the worst abuses.”
Check out the rim width – they can stand up by themselves – makes them not only stronger but more tire gets contact on tough downhills putting you more in control.
I am telling you, the combo is nectar. Light fast engagement with nearly indestructible rims – mouthwatering.
They are used so there are a couple of dings but honestly minor – check out the pics.
This set also comes with a conversion kit so you can run them 9 mm, 15 mm or 20 mm. Currently they are 20 mm but if you have a different size fork just pop in the adapters I will send and you will be of crushing things and scaring sasquatch.
