This is my Koxx racing BMX, it is the Komp Expert XL frame as used to get 2nd place in the womens BMX racing in the last Olympics.

I bought it as a full bike from K-124 UK (sister company to Tartybikes where I used to work) but I soon decided to strip it to the frame and re-build with super light parts.

I have done a lot of work to cut the weight, I'll list the parts and any modifications below:

Koxx Komp expert XL frame (paint stripped, anodised copper (though it looks like gold really) drilled hole in headtube and bb shell (very common thing to do in Trials riding) lightened the dropouts, holes in the top of the seat tube, dimples in the bb shell)
Supercross Pro light forks
Super cross Pro light bars
Koxx CNC race stem
Shimano XTR cranks (old style) anodised black
Onza trials rims (lighter than most bmx rims but still strong enough for trials. front one has the side wall drilled too.
GU (trials brand) rear cassette hub, based around a profile hub, but lighter than a king, 72 engagements.
Kenda Small Block 8 tyres
wellgo magnesium pedals, cut down with titanium axle
SDG I-Beam seat and post (lighter than a railed setup)
shimano brake
Bog standard headset (I did have a Crank brothers one but it broke when i tried to service it)

Please don't be put off by any of the modifications, I was the mechanic at Tartybikes for 4 years, I have done it to my trials frames and ridden them at a world cup level with no failures, trials frames now come with drilled headtubes as standard now.

I am not sure on the weight of the bike, but it's hovering around the 8kg mark, it's VERY fast!!

I rode two races on this bike (came about middle pack) it's never had any major crashes and everything is in sound condition.

To build this bike cost me way over £1000 so I hope my asking price of £500 is fair. I can post it with a next day courier for £20 (using Tartybikes Courier service) if anyone wanted. the bike is in the Preston area if anyone wanted to try it (I could meet at Preston race track too)

Thanks for looking

Ali
