Hi, I am selling my Battaglin road bike, it is made in Italy. It is a rare bike to find in Toronto, I have never seen another like it. The colour scheme is a replica of Stephen Roche's Triple Crown winning Battaglin and I guess the company figured it would be smart to copy it for all of their models that year.

Roche had an incredible year in 1987, only one other rider has done this in history, the legendary Eddy Merckx.

Giro d'Italia (1987) - Stephen Roche
Tour de France (1987) - Stephen Roche
World Championships - Road (1987) - Stephen Roche

Even without Roche's wins, the Battaglin name would still be well known. Giovanni Battaglin is an accomplished cyclist and raced for many years in the '70s, competing against cycling greats like Merckx, Giovani, and Saronni. Battaglin had an amazing race year in 1981, winning both the Vuelta a EspaƱa and the Giro d'Italia.

The frame has tonnes of pantographings all over it including on the seat stays, fork crown, rear drops, bottom bracket and the top tube. The tubing is Columbus Cromor and the bike is very light and rides incredibly well. It is a 58cm size and fits me very well and I am a hair over 6 feet tall. Gears and brakes and steering are all great, the bike is good to go!

Thanks for looking.
