Riding Flow’s mission is to share the buzz of riding in the amazing Whakarewarewa forest and make your stay in Rotorua the best adventure holiday you could dream up.
The ‘Whaka’ forest is one of the top places to ride anywhere in the world and that's not just according to the locals! The International Mountain Bike Association agrees that Rotorua is the perfect place to start those wheels turning.
Joining a Riding Flow adventure shows you the best parts of the forest to suit your ability and just how adventurous you’d like to be. We have 3 tailor made trips available from absolute beginner through to intermediate so you can ride without having to worry about where to start or if you should take this trail exit or the next one.
If you’d prefer to see more of the hidden wonders of the forest on a mountain bike the cultural and geothermal exploration is the trip for you. We’ll ride to see the amazing view over the Whakarewarewa Valley, see the Pohuhu Geyser, check out a bubbling mud pool and learn some of the rich local Maori history.

The cost for these rides pays for a local, experienced mountain bike guide who ensures that the riders and bikes in the group are as safe as we can be and that the trails that are ridden have been considered to suit the skill level of the riders. It also pays for the guide to be as first aid certified as an outdoor recreation professional can be, that a first aid kit is carried for both the bike and rider and that concession for forest access has been paid. Ooo and you get to look forward to a nice chilled beverage at the end of the ride!
