One area that Cyprus is really proud of is the Mountain range of Troodos. Except the huge geological interest of this mountain range, it is an ideal place for Mountainbiking, Roadcycling, and of course Gravelbike lovers! We could easily call it “every cyclist’s paradise” on Cyprus.
Troodos lies almost in the middle of the island and is easily accessible from the main cities and touristic areas. With its highest peak, the Olympus lying at 1952m above sea level, riding there is a challenge for many road cyclists. Starting either from our Bike Center in Tochni or our Bike center in Pafos you reach the Olympus peak in exactly the same distance!!! 75km with 2500m of ascent from Tochni and 2300m of ascent from Pafos! Isn’t that magic!!??
Mountainbike in Troodos
Troodos can be easily called the mountainbikers playground! Hundreds of kilometers of dirt trails and numerous singletrails of different level of difficulty make Troodos an area that every mountainbiker falls in love with and keeps coming back again and again! Starting from Olympus peak one can find fascinating singletrails to ride all the way to the villages around as well towards the eastern part to Macheras forest or to the west towards Pafos Forest until the peninsula of Akamas.
