Roxtreme is a unique rider-built, DIY-style bike park established in 2007.

Currently Roxtreme consists primarily of cross country trails with some A/B trails and elements, we call them “side-quests”. This allows riders of different ages and skill levels to ride together.

Most of our trails were built by and for local kids and teens. When the “Great Recession” fully settled in, Roxtreme’s progress slowed, and then eventually stopped altogether. The trails mostly faded away and started returning to nature.

There has been a lot of work to bring the Roxtreme trails back to life, but we have focused mainly on cross country loops, as we feel that is a good basis to build community and serve a wide range of riders. Most of the original sections currently remain in remission.

We are now seeking riders and builders to develop the trails further, taking things to the next level. Our main loops will likely always be green (with the “side-quests”), but we have areas designated for jump lines, technical sections and more! We also have the remnants of a pump track that needs some major love, and plans for a pump line that may possibly be the longest pump line in the USA! And if it comes to fruition, probably the most distinctive pump line ever built.

The Roxtreme trails are primarily for riding, but we also permit hiking/walking and trail running. Dog walking is allowed for friendly dogs walked by respectful owners, keeping in mind that trail dogs are allowed and run the trails with their owners off leash.

Roxtreme is on private land. We believe that, where possible, land is a resource that is best experienced in shared, respectful community. Land is a resource that is not increasing, so its utilization for community seems especially important.

The land is also used as a home-base for FlockWorks, a goat rental business. This means that not all trails will likely be available at all times. It also means that we are more sensitive to people staying on the trails and paths, because the other areas are food and forage for the goats, when they aren’t out on jobs.

Roxtreme is not only non-profit, but non-income as well. This means a few things…

For one, it’s free to use the trails!

Nothing happens at Roxtreme without donations of labor or materials. We will (basically) always accept the following items, by category.

For riders: Bikes, helmets, Etc.

For Trail Work: Shovels, rakes, tampers, post hole diggers, digging bars, pruners, loppers, Etc.

For infrastructure: Pipes of virtually any type. Clay. Stones. Large Rocks, Soil, Etc.

Roxtreme operates without insurance. We promise no protections of any type and risk of non-injury is not guaranteed, or even implied. Riding is inherently dangerous! We operate under PA recreational use statutes and require a signed waiver for each rider.

It's ridiculous how great even very basic trails can be when they're close to you and you can ride them regularly!
