HAVEN'T FULLY REFUNDED ME:
I paid for a trip a few years ago and due to covid and illness couldn't attend. I was told i could get a refund and they've only refunded 1/3 (about 450E) so far... when trying to contact the organiser again for more of the money (i agreed to let them have 1/3 as an admin fee - quite a generous amount!) they completely ignored me. If you're thinking of booking, I'd question the reliability of this company.

We just came back from our week with Carlos do Santos of Bike Safari Tour. It was an amazing experience. Not only is the mountain biking very good and developing, but the whole experience was memorable. Carlos thrived to make us ride hard, but also learn about the Azores, eat excellent food, swim in the ocean, visit a tea factory and liquor manufacturer and get to know Ponta Delgada and environs. I took a day off and did whale watching and saw Fin whales, a humpback whale, dolphins and a turtle! Carlos always rides with two guides, including Davide Madeiros and Paulo Dinis Carvalho, both excellent riders. Davide is a seasoned police officer while Paulo is the owner of a top notch bike store in Ponta Delgada, MONBIKE. So, we were protected and covered for any mechanicals. Rental bike quality was super high. Go!
