Egobike was created in 1992 in Bédoin (France) to respond to the need for a more robust mountain-bike scene.

After the creation of the first french FFC team that launched the best athletes of the Provence region in DH and XC, the club was involved in the organization of National and International events. We were instrumental in having the 1st round of French Downhill Cup in Malaucène, the Cross City Tour (a race series hosted in beautiful Provence villages), the Camelback XCountry Cup at the Mont-Ventoux and the trial Indoor in Carpentras (with the participation of 6 trial world champions).

After the participation at the famous Tour de France VTT organised by ASO and surprising good results, Egobike was particularly strong on the French and European circuit from 1999 to 2003. Achieved at that time were several national champion titles and one qualification for the Olympic games with Sophie Villeneuve. Our team was placed in the top ranking together with SCOTT and Bianchi.

Further on, the visibility of Egobike crossed the borders with new talents present in the national election and thanks to several podium in the youth categories. Olivier Sarrazin, vice junior world champion and national champion, Olivia Cascino, 2nd et 3rd at the french championship in junior and U23 category in addition to several podiums in European cups in the same categories.

Egobike has done its duty to help young talents to grow and to give them the ability to participate on the races. All this while keeping their commitment to the structure and with a ethical code.

Now after all the competitive activity, and after 22 years of experience, Egobike is re- dedicated to the fundamentals of mountain-biking, and facilitating, supervising and encouraging all users of different experience and levels.

The Mont-Ventoux is gathering a lot of cyclists and fans with the accompanying problems, (litter, erosion), and it is therefore essential to make the public sensitive to the uniqueness of the environment and it's ecosystem.

"At a certain time we were too focused on competition, but our experience has turned us back to all the pure enjoyment of mountain-biking and cycling in all its forms!”
