Here at the Southwest Idaho Mountain Bike Association, we want the mountain bikers in our region to have the best trails anywhere. We already have a good trail system, but we want to create a great trail system. What we lack is a voice. Without a strong, collective voice, we are too easily ignored, and we have far less of a chance for progressive trails that build confidence, skill and fun.
Trail systems are complex, with different user groups having different, occasionally opposing, needs and wants. We want to share our trail system with other users, but we want to be a part of the conversation.
We want to see a diverse, inclusive community of mountain bikers- all ages, genders, ethnicities, and riding disciplines represented. We want trails that welcome riders regardless of abilities or impairments.
We want to work together with local municipalities and volunteer groups to plan, create, and maintain trails in the Treasure Valley that we can be proud to call our own. Rolling foothills trails that anyone can enjoy; fast, challenging trails that will push riders to improve; technical trails that demand commitment and skill.
We have room for everyone, and we will work to have a trail network that meets all of our needs and wants.
