if youre willing to go used i know of at least 2 top of the line street bikes going for under a grand. other than that go with a p1, brodie heathen, giant STP
You could go new like some of the other people have stated. The benefits are warrenty, and you are the original owner. You could also potentially build up your own rig, but this is REALLY expensive if you don't do it right. IMO used bikes give you the most bang for your buck.
