dirt jumper III, can fill it with air and make it as soft or firm as you want and its bomb proof. the problem is that it has no other adjustability, (reboud way too fast), its as heavy as a semi and it has a very tall ride hight (same as my double crown sherman with 170mm of travel) the new dirt jumpers are alot better i guess so if thats the type of riding you do, give em a shot
i have drop off 4's with 100mm of travel and the problem with those forks is that for some reason the headset comes loose and the fork vibrates. also i am 11 and it is easy to bottom out with slow rbound
i'm running the stock 06 drop off IV's that came with my coiler (150mm travel) and i give them a 3/10. i can ride down a dirt road and sit there watching them flex back and forth, they don't feel planted at all and it's kinda sketchy doing fast, rough downhill because there is so much flex. the dampening is okay but the huge amount of flex just kills it for me. when i get the money, i'm going with a 55ATA though.
'07 4X and it's sick... it's basically just the old dj1 with new stickers but it's good, just set it up and ride it... no fuss no mess, not like my '06 Boxxer team, that thing needs alot of care!
btw... why is everyone rating drop-off's, those are just oem forks with no adjustability... bike companies just use those to build a bike because a fork from the line-up would raise the price of the bike into a higher bracket. They are meant to be swapped for real parts at a later date, you can't actually but a drop-off, unless someone is selling a used one. Don't get me wrong they do work, but this fella is looking to buy a new fork and a drop-off isn't a good idea.
