got a choice between boxxers (team 2010) for £475 or some 888 (rc3 evo 2011) for £450. I know the 888 weighs a tad more but what is the comparrison on performance?

also the 888 has a transferable warranty of 3 years which is quite useful...

i would go for the boxxers. only because they ride alot nicer and plush. in my opinion they are easier to set up aswell

Fairly sure the 888's have a much smoother action than any boxxer. I would go for 888's anytime, and then 40's instead of boxxers Smile

lol

But he speaks the truth. Ive got the 2007 RC2 XVA's and they were soo good when I was properly. They lasted a long time without any maintenance as well. Where as you would probably need to change the oil in boxxers every few months.

The boxxers are a lot more reliable a fork but the 888 have the warranty. arghhhh

If the boxers are used the 888's all the way. If the boxers are new old stock. If you plan to swap out forks in the next 1.5 years then the boxxers .

I've had both, well i'm running Boxxer 2010 WC at the moment. The 888 WC's were amazing, but a bit heavy, but super reliable. Well made, plus if they have a warranty then i'd go for them. If you can find some Boxxer WC's then spend the extra and get a pair there amazing!!!

888 all the way you can ride them for years without having to open them up they will last so much longer one of my pals had the 2010 boxxer and after about 9 months they broke whilst i was riding a set of 2006 888 and they are stil going
