How do I lighten a SX trail 2 I am looking at buying one it weighs 39lb and I want it down to 33lb-34lb what are some ways to lighten it ( It will be my one bike for freeride,jumping, but I also climb alot) my upgrade budget is $1500-$1750 any input would be great.

ti spring or air shock, lighter wheelset, lighter fork, lighter chainguide, lighter tires. i have a few buddies and one has it down to 31 and the other guys ways 32

Oh its a stock one. You could do as said above air shock ot Ti Coil or aishock.. I would take off the front gears, and you could run light xc tubes or go tubeless and get light tires

you could drill out the frame in places like the headtube and chainstay welding points.

why do you need it lighter just slap a chainguide ont front single ring and ride it properly if you wonted a lighter bike get an old enduro dont just try and make you bike light it will make it ride like shit its need a bit of bulk and one tip you will need a new headset if you ride hard mine got chewed up in about 24 hours of serious riding i recomend a chris king

He was being sarcastic (I take it). Cut seatpost, e-13 LG1, make sure you go for a light wheelset (rotational mass)

49$ from universal for the old stickers on them, 99 for the new sticker 823s
