that looks sweet mate, im really liking the rawed frames but i have quite a few white components on my bike.
Do you think white parts will go with a rawed frame?

steel will rust if its not cleared, and alu will oxidize if not cleared

Rawed then polished.

You can also use a metal polish,
It protects the aluminium as well.

It will still oxidize and turn grey, not to mention it stinks if you dont clear it.

If you ask me, clear coats are a must.

Mine had surface rust growing on it after a couple days just from being stored in a humid environment. Wherever water/sweat splashed on it there were rust spots as well. If you're leaving it raw permanently, a sealant is definitely recommended.

after you clear it, sand out and rough spots with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper. Then polish it again with a clearcoat friendly polish.
