How do you carry a spade?

how do you guys carry a spade when your on your way to a trail to build. i tried carrying it but that doesnt work so now i just put it in between my back and backpack but it still come out?

If you have a dakine camelback just put it where the pads go thats what I do

Stick spade end in a plastic bag then put that in your backpack.
I have no zip on mine so i have to attatch the spade with string to the handle bit at the top. I rode 14miles like it today and it was fine.

thats what i do, good idea huh! but i dont ride 14 miles with it in my bag, only 1 mile to the trails. woop!

Lucky git 7 miles uphill to mine
well 7 miles downhill on the way back i guess Big Grin
