What is considered a light bike? Any input would be great thanks!

anything under 27lbs.

To me anything under 30 lbs is light. Anything under 25 is TOO light.

It's all personal preference. To someone a 27 lb bike is heavy, to someone else it's light.

BMX? I consider 24 to be pretty light. 25-27 decent and 28+ to be heavy.

What sort is it?

21 is what my bike weighs but I'm saving up for new spokes, titanium that is for f/b wheels with new back wheel (hub and rim) and front rim over the summer. And maybe drilled out front rim...

depends how rich you are. for "poor" people, a light DH bike is 40.

so I think under 23 is considered light.

I would consider 24 and under to be light bikes. Light being a relative term, I would say that between 26-28 is average. Anything above 28 is pushing heavy by today's standards.

Now this is considered extremely light. I'm pretty sure it's the lightest stock freestyle bike you can buy.

today i met a guy at the park named "no chain shane" and he is a parts tester....he said anything under 27lbs is light and his bike is 23.7lbs....he rides a mid nite bike and i never herd of that copany but the bike is sick....the geomorty on that bike is realll low like the tt barley rises about 4im at thes most over at the chainstays and in the air you can lift the bike so high and not have to worry about the corn nuts hanging down and hitting the tttup

depends on for what type of riding. I've seen some pretty light park bike. sub 20 is in that too light category. just like learning tech style, you gotta learn to ride a bike that light. 21-24 would be light around here. 24-27 would be average. if your bike isn't a stock bike and weighs more than that, then it's time to stop replacing parts with what you got, and upgrade. park setups with be lighter than most street and trails. most. I've got a trail setup that i ride park with all the time. 24.7. i don't think I'd care for anything lighter than 23.5lbs. too twitch. not enough faith
