^dont get the the one that is the air fork. i was talking to my shop today about them and they say that they make the most money repairing them since they blow out so often...
Maybe they blow out often if you don't know to ride and don't do any maintenance on a regular base then they can be a horrible fork ...but if you do regular inspection and maintenance you won't have problem and It's lighter then the ride or team
MINE IS BOXXER - SAM HILL WON THE DH WORLD CUP ON HIS BOXXER FORK!
We've go the best argument here.
Ain't that the truth, haha.
Sam hill could have a rigid on the front of his bike and still whoop everybody on this site by 10 seconds. I own a 40 myself and love it, super plush and soaks up everything.
The Fox is much better. My friend has a Boxxer WC and I am not that crazy about it. Its a nice fork, but its over rated because of Sam Hill and all of the other WC riders. If you want a more responsive fork. Go with the 40 coil is always more responsive than air. Always. And the Boxxer WC isn't that much lighter than a 40. The 40 is better all around. It looks hot. Very responsive. Tight turning radius. Great adjustments. Plush. the list goes on........
I have a pair of boxxer world cups and I can tell you anyone who says they are weak either doesn't have one, or doesn't take care of their stuff, I crashed through trees and overshot some big drops (thats what happens when your friends make you go first) with mine and they work good as new.
As for 40's I have never owned any so i can't help you there, I have heard a lot of good things about them, and the whole deal with the lowers is kinda bs. you have to hit something really awkward and super hard to hit the thin area of the lower.
