They aren't any extra money. The LG1 as a whole guide is a fair bit lighter than a SRS for example with a full bash.

Worth it...we need some information. Does your bike have ISCG-old or ISCG05 mounts? How often do you clip your chainring?

No extra money, as timlake mentioned. As for the weight difference, we can't really answer that without knowing the size of the chainring it would be protecting. And even then, no promises.

No Lbs, only a small weight saving. Do you smash your bash regularly? If you do, don't buy a light guide. As dubhex mentioned, it depends on a lot of variables, Chainring Size, Mount, 4 bolt, 5 bolt etc etc.

If you MUST find the need to run a bash, purchase a Gamut, they are lightweight, killer looking, same/cheaper price as an e.13 and strong.

I can think of numerous ways off the top of my head to make the Trek lighter without compromising strength at all. I can think of a few ways to do the same to the Norco.

One reason to run one would be if you grind, they slide really well and are ridiculously strong.

Tacos aren't fine if you have ISCG-old mounts and whack your ring a lot. Bye-bye warranty.

Lighter Pedals, get rid of that nasty headtube. I've always hated that design, pointless. Lighter guide, and derralieur.

Cassette - Drop a few cogs off, run a custom stack of Ti road cogs
Brakes - Something Formula is lighter, maybe The One, definitely the R1

And then little things....aluminum cassette lockring. Titanium bolts in the grips, cut off the flanges.
