I cant comment on the commencal having never rode one, however as for the ironhorse it is the best dh bike i have ever come across..So smooth, dw-link makes it track insanly and in turns its so damm planted, they really are fantastic bikes. Saying that the commencal does look great and ive heard good stuff about them, Enjoy which ever you pick Big Grin

get the commencal, lead ponies.....erm i mean iron horses are really prone to cracks in the rear framework,i used to work in a I H dealer and they came back all the time, so you have been warned.

lol what? did you mix those up?

the 2006-2008 commencals were pretty prone to cracking/breaking, not sundays

thats wrong, the 2006 commencal supremes saw 1 snap so they changed the reinforcing around the head tube

no its right

lots of 2006-2008 frames cracked mainly around the headtube(me, and some friends included) and on the dropouts

mine was a 2007 what cracked on the dropout but i carried on riding then it cracked at the headtube

edit: not to mention Fabien Pedemanaud went through 7 or more front triangles on his season with commencal

they weren't very strong frames which is why the 2009 versions are so overbuilt, for 2010 theyre looking to lighten it up a bit

i ride a bit of dh for fun with the occasional bit of fr but mainly dh, i have read that the sundays snap but haven't read anything about the commencals snapping. to be honest the supreme is kind of my favourite out of the two, it looks better speced for what i want.
