my favorite trials have to be pioneer, blaster, and superberm? what are everyone elses and yes pack a tube. And dont trust the techshop, my friend rented a bike and it was a 24" and then they gave him a kit with it with a 26" tube that we used for my other friends flat.
It has 3 large rockslabs connected by varied woodwork. There is almost no dirt. Except for the slabs, it is not steep because the woodwork cuts across the slope.
i felt like the trails were amazing and the fact that there were only maybe 30 bikers on the whole hill the day we went, which means we barely had to pass anyone or slow down for anyone untill superberm which had just opened the week before, and for the price and trails i think it would be the best besides mabey whistler but i havent been there yet!!
For a early bird pass at $175 and full season under $300 it is a fricking sick deal. The trails are built with alot of passion and really hard work dealing with all that rock and gravel. Sure the funds are not there for a massive Whistler sized crew, but give it a couple more years (have only been open like 6 or 7 seasons) and you will have a awesome mountain to ride. If you really want to help they are always open to working off your pass. With Revvy blowing up too and them planning on opening up biking soon, you will have quite the road trip. East to west. Fernie, KHMR, Revelstoke, Silverstar, Sunpeaks, Whistler, Mt. Washington. All of these are within probably 6 hours from the farthest two hills. This was not supposed to be a rant but I really like the town of Golden and the vibe at the hill. Plus you have Mt.7 just across the yander if you feel like shuttleing. As to answer the forum....
My favorite trail is absolutely pinning the road all the way down to Blaster and into Pioneer. Favorite new trail is Stick Rock. The first rock looks steep and the second but they are totally controllable. Plus the wood work is built really well. Worst injury has been dislocated finger off the drop by the chairlift. Over shot the landing and got Bucked forward.
