What diameter clamp size do you need? 22.2 (BMX), 25.4 (MTB std) or 31.8mm (MTB oversized)? That seperates out a lot of the choices. If you need 31.8mm, Thomson is about the best around. I have 3 bikes with Thomson stems. Pricey, but light (147g), strong and beautiful.

I wouldn't spend my money on anything other than a Thomson. Not saying the others aren't good, and some may be lighter, but with a Thomson you never have to think about your stem ever again... which is a good thing.

If you are just in it for the bling factor then look elswhere, If you want the best stem available, spend the extra $20 and get a Thomson.

you might be able to go on ebay and get a s$m redneck for cheap but the only downside is you haue to run small bars...... but they are light and work great and hella strong... hope i helped!!!!
