Right, First post for a long time.

Im building a bit of a track in Wiltshire, between Chippenham and Devizes, but it needs to be ridden more, as its starting to overgrow.

Also, could do with help with building / opinions.

So if you want to ride it, or even better, come and help. PM me.

I will post a location eventually, but im at work at the mo.

I should really say abit more about it! Haha.

Its down hill, through a heavly wooded area, but fairly smooth all the way down (except for some knarly homemade bits).

Its got some tight berms and switchback drop style corners.
Its a fast track mort of the way. Smooth and easy at the top, but the further you go down, the more fun it is.

Its got some jumps / fast drops, and is quite good, comciddering ive dug about 4tonne of soil on my own.

There is alot of potential for it, hence why I need the help.

westwoods is kinda between lockeridge and pewsey. Lockeridge being next to marlborough.
Theres like a fair few trails that are a dhy.... however on the other, unbuilt side, theres a load of nice trails through the woods that are quite often used by xc riders
I'm new to westwoods so i haven't really seen it all yet

Thanks,

Itsw mellow at the top, but its got some quite steep bits in.

Its just one line at the moment, but with a little help then hopefully will be able to make it a multi-line track, with different skill levels maby.

Would love some northshore type stuff, but its quite hard to get stuff on site (so to speak).

Im not sure how long to be honest, its not very long, but I still think its an ideal spot to ride etc.

Ill try and get some photos etc.

Right, Ive got some photos together, but there not complementry of the track at all.

Starting from the top it is fairly flat, with some twists and turns, but nothing that would be challenging. (I didnt take photos of the top, 'cos theres not much to see).

So the first bit you come to is, what I am calling the switchback.
Its a tight right-hander berm and straight into a short slope, then another tight left-hander.
You will have to piece some of the photos together.

This one is looking back up the last of the switchback turns.

After that section, theres some low trees and soon into the next right-left, with a jump straight after, but jump isnt big as you cant carry alot of speed through the two corners.

Looking back up.

Jump straight after (bike so show size, it is atchually a small double/table type thing).

Another couple of corners later is the largest descent, but picture isnt very good.

A really small clime and another descent later is the netx jump/drop.
The white in the track furether up is large loose gravel.

And looking back up, (again, bike there to show size).

A small drop later and theres my work of art...
Its a righthander to left, with a drop in the middle.
About 2tonne of soil moved here, so some nice comments would be great. Haha.

Last off is a small jump.
Only small at the mo because its a flat landing, and your going pretty fast by now (if your hardcore).
Could do with help to enlarge and make it into a big table maby?

Not much room after tho.

Any help/feedback would be great.
Keep it clean.

Damn that looks fun!
Looks like a good job you've done there! Really good slope angles etc...
Just a tiny bit out of the way for me.

Is there much room for other tracks?

I think the berm in the first pic should be built a bit smoother looks a bit sharp and there are a few ruts which is probably down to drainage.
