Pretty straightforeward:

Are 3/8" axles the same as 10mm Axles?

Before I buy myself new hubs Id like to know what size axle I need for my Pinscher.

Thanks!

well... 3/8" is actually about 9.5mm but i doubt the difference is big enough to warrant any worries

umm no there not. if you run 10mm axles with 3/8 dropouts, it wil not fit.

however you can run 3/8 axles with 10mm dropouts with a tiny bit of play. as long as your not putting a 10mm into a 3/8 your fine

total b.s.

both are just indications for rougly the same size dropout..please measure multiple "3/8" forks, they all have different tolerances.

2.24CM to the inch

22.4mm to the inch i think

10mm = roughly 3/8ths inch

unless you aare building a satalite or spaceship should be ok. i dont think the tollerances on a bike are that tight.

y would they make 2 different sizes like .116 mm diff between them? you woulod think they would pick a little differnt size like 12mm.

use a d/a grinder and take .10 mm out of the drop out then. prob solved

I've done it.

Before you get on a rant about how 3/8" isn't the same as 10mm, learn the difference between there and they're. You're automatically wrong if you can't even spell correctly.

it wasn't a rant, i was just explaining what happened to me one time, i had to use a mallet to get it in, and ok im automatically wrong if i spell they're as there ok that makes sense.

if a 10mm axle won't fit in the 3/8" dropout, it's more than likely due to paint, 0.5mm is incredibly small
