I bought some cheap atomlab gi pedals for Dh, and they suck. I'm looking for new pedals around the same price. Does anyone know anything about the wellgo platform pedals? Not the mg-1's, but the other pedals like the b27, b54, b065, etc?? Or can you recommend good low profile, reliable platform pedals under $100?

Crankbro's 50-50s

I second this. Great pedal with a massive platform and brilliant grip. Can't comment on bearing life, but from what I hear, they last pretty well...

Whats wrong with the MG1's? Light, cheap, relatively low and durable.

those superstar pedals are the same as deity's. i'm sure you can find some in a lbs and are 75. super amazing too. i used them all last season and am going on my 2nd w/o problems

Why not? Just genuinely curious here...

they are 2-piece pedals so they tend to creak and come loose/fall apart

im staying away from 50-50's and mg-1's and easton platforms. they are all too small. I need a wider platform. and I tried 50-50's and was not impressed with them at all

just checked superstar components, sweet pedals, but they dont ship to U.S.

What don't you like about the Atomlab's? Mine have been going strong for over two years now.

the pins are not long enough and hardly grip at all. shoes would help, but new pedals are necessary

The Shimano DX pedals are great. Fully sealed, easy to rebuild, comes with two sets of pins (longer ones and shorter ones), relatively light and are currently on sale at JensonUSA for $84. Not much else to say about them.

Everyone is going to think I am crazy but I used a set of Kona Jack's last year for a quick cheap replacment and they worked great! They didn't slip and took a beating all season long!
