f*ck the troy lee frame..stealth black 2011 is the shit!
i second that ^^^ just got to ride my 2011 demo 8 with the new 2012 rc4 installed. after one ride it was obvious how horrid the van rc really was...right away i noticed i wasn't getting that chatter in the back when drifting turns. i can't wait to hit bigger drops and jumps with this thing on. pure butter!
hadley hubs, burgtec hubs, industry 9 hubs all need modification to fit.
mavic hubs, dt swiss hubs, wtb hubs, hope hubs all fit without any modification.
the stock 550 wheels suck ass.. i rode my friends demo, cased one gap (ok it was kinda big), but it completely blew up his rear wheel. my deemax or my 823 wouldn't even have been phased.
Pro 2 or pro 3 on 721 is an ideal rear wheel. I have the pro 3 because I wanted to be different :L But it's slightly stiffer, just more awkward when something breaks.
Pro 2 evo on 721 is a good price, strong, smoother etc
Im wondering about the durability if the stock wheels and brakes on my 2011 demo 8 II. I have a whistler trip planned and I cant have unreliable parts up there. If anyone has had any problems i would also like to know how often you were riding on them, the riding conditions ie: weather and stuff and what sort of ridng you were doing, like racing or just gnarly freeride stuff.
Specialized uses a PressFit 30, not BB30. But if your LBS deals Specialized, give them a call and tell them you need a PressFit to external BB adapter. They should be able to hook you up pretty easy.
