Diverting back to mullet potential setup comment...............I wrote YT to confirm the Ohlins fork could handle a 29" wheel and they said it is 'compatible' (same as Ohlins website on the fork), although the YT rep mentioned something about needing to "bump up the travel by 10mm to avoid any contact with the frame". Would this be a fork stantion/crown height adjustment and or bumping up the rear/shock as well? I'm ready to buy the bike, only if I can simply run a 29" front wheel to mullet it out.

I was at Windrock this past weekend and there is a Tues there with Ohlins running a Mullet setup. I talked to the rider and he said its not great and that it really needs a different shock linkage to fully benefit from the 29" wheel. He didn't elaborate beyond that.

On the current model Tues: is there enough clearance with seatstay/chainstay to run a 220mm reardisc?

Not certain, but Oisin ran a 223 TRP rotor on his Tues in 2021.

Great prices at the moment in Europe for the top spec bike. So might order one.

Im 6ft so probably choose the 'Long' one. Will have a test bounce on someones bike soon to check sizing.

The closest deal I see is a Canyon and its about 1500 to 1000euro more. (Depending if you choose MX or full 29).

Commencal is now also way up there in the 7400+ range for Full Fox factory...

It's 4800 now in Europe.

nice. tup

AFAIK are the normal X2's OK? Its the new trunnion mount models that suffer and crack? I got a 2020 X2 (so with the previous layout) on my Propain Tyee and that is doing great.

Nevertheless a coil is off course a good choice as well.

I ordered a long (6ft tall)

Bummer about the X2, I m not 100% op to speed with those current issues. What coil are you looking for? DHX2? Or RS with hydraulic bottom out?
